With the greenback as high as it is today, there was little hope to be left for a good performance from the Asian and European indices and stocks. Numbers across Asia were mixed from the beginning of trading today and although Europe performs much better than Asia, there is still a lot of careful moves in the market.
Kospi declined 0.2 percent.
Topix is barely changed after the gains yesterday.
S&P 500 futures lost 0.1 percent.
Hang Seng dropped 0.7 percent.
MSCI Asia Pacific shed 0.3 percent.
Stoxx Europe 600 added 0.2 percent.
DAX declined 0.1 percent.
MSCI Emerging Market went up 0.1 percent.
Equities are performing today within the scopes of dollar having grown by 0.5 percent against the six major currencies which is the first advance in almost a week.
Euro lost 0.4 percent - $1.1555.
Pound declined 0.4 percent - $1.2862.
WTI oil loses 0.31 percent and brings its barrel to $67.65 price point.
Brent declined 0.67 percent - $74.28.
Natural gas decreases 0.34 percent - $2.95 per MMbtu.
Gold as always, true to form declined with the dollar as strong as it is today. Ounce of it lost 0.67 percent and sank to $1.195.20 point. Other metals follow gold as well.
Silver lost 1.38 percent - $14.65 per ounce.
Platinum lost 1.79 percent and declined to the lowest point in almost ten years - $780.21.
