Open interest in the euro futures markets declined on Tuesday
for the second consecutive session, this time by only 928 contracts, according to the CME Group's flash data. On the other hand, this year's sales volume grew by 153.5 thousand contracts, which is the highest figure for one day.
The pair EUR/USD closed below the key support at 1.08 on Tuesday, last seen in April 2017. While a large increase in volumes opens up opportunities for additional pullbacks in the near future, the decline in the open interest also hints that the downward momentum may dry up.
