While the picture in the markets is way better than it was just a week ago, there is a certain success in Asian markets rather than European. Performance in Europe is more mixed than in Asia where we can see much more satisfying gains today.
Topix gained 0.3 percent.
Kospi rises with 0.1 percent gain.
Hang Seng didn’t move from its positions.
Nikkei Stock Average 225 added 1.1 percent.
MSCI Asia Pacific gained 0.3 percent.
Stoxx Europe 600 adds 0.8 percent.
FTSE 100 from UK lost 0.2 percent.
DAX from Germany surged by 0.6 percent.
MSCI Emerging market gained 0.6 percent.
Although this morning performance of the greenback was much better, right now there are losses with the currency. Pound experiences the biggest jump in a week which allows it to hit new height for the latest week.
Dollar declined 0.1 percent against the six major peers and its now at the lowest point in 3 weeks.
Euro gained 0.05 percent - $1.1583.
Pound went up with the largest rise in more than a week – 0.5 percent - $1.3219.
Commodities’ sector sees losses in oil, but precious metals, true to form are only gaining price with the greenback looking lower.
WTI oil declined with 0.56 percent loss - $71.38 per barrel.
Brent lost 0.52 percent - $80.36 per barrel.
Natural gas is up 0.12 percent - $3.25 per MMBtu.
Heating oil lost 0.43 percent - $231.55 per gallon.
Gold jumps 0.22 percent - $1233 per ounce of the metal.
Silver surged 0.53 percent - $14.81.
Per-ounce price for platinum changed by adding 0.24 percent - $844.48.
