Ooh, sweet-sweet social networks. We think that when we give our data to them, it is safe and nothing can happen to them. But Facebook is going to tell you that that is not true. In fact, in the past few years Facebook had so many troubles with users’ data leaking into the world web, that right now traders and Facebook investors do not even ask question, the just sell the stocks off and wait for better times. And today, when we can see FB stock fall, is just that day.
Facebook reports that those, who are using their app with the Android OS may have had their data compromised and their personal information may have been exposed. Almost 10 million users have allegedly fell victim to hackers who exploit all of the weak spots in Facebook app. Inc.com explained “According to Engadget, almost 10 million users may have had their Twitter and Facebook accounts compromised by the presence of two software development kits (SDKs) that allowed outside access to your information. If you use an Android device and have downloaded apps containing one of these SDKs, and connected your social media accounts to any of those apps, it's possible that information like your name, username, email, and gender, was shared in places you may not have intended”.
Of course until all of this is confirmed, it is hard to say whether Facebook are really at fault here, but that doesn’t change the fact that investors have already caused a fall in the performance of FB stocks. It is not a big one, but seeing how tomorrow the markets are going silent, we have to look out for the possible changes in FB stock performance.
And the best tool for this is of course trading signals.
