It seems that Trump’s withdrawal from summit with North Korea may have a lot of consequences which were not though about once the official statement was released. Now those, involved in the situation or those just watching it from the outside are saying that Chinese situation which was also created by Trump may worsen because of Trump’s decision. And that may be fatal for economies all around the world.
The main problem is that China and America have different views on the North Korean problem. While China thinks that the dialogue must be opened at some point on the nearest future Trump seems to believe that recent address of Un to the United States must be punished by shutting North Korea out again. And that difference has already become a reason for some of the recently well-put together agreements to go to waste.
Some of the changes have already followed in the agenda of Chinese-American relationship. Pentagon has withdrew from the naval exercise with China which was to take place in Hawaii. Considering that trade tensions between the countries are still there. It is very important for Trump to think his next steps over, but collision of two biggest economies in the world will result in full-blown economic crisis around the globe.
Commenting on the situation Jia Qingguo - dean of the School of International Studies at China’s Peking University said “Definitely there are people in the U.S. who want to use this as an excuse for their efforts to push the relationship in the direction of confrontation. This is one of the lowest points in the relationship since the normalization of relations between the two countries,”
Growing problem is waiting to be resolved but with the immense pressure out on the situation we can only hope that it is not going to blow up and return in the form of 2008 economic crisis.
