With the beginning of the second stage of Brexit, Britain’s Prime minister Theresa May will be under ever more pressure, than she used to be.
The agreement as to the first stage of Brexit was reached by GB’s and United European governments in December 2017. It wasn’t easy as no one expected and was prepared for the decision of Britain’s citizens to exit the EU. So, naturally, there was a lot of political, economical and other questions to consider.
But now Ms. May is under more pressure. Next Tuesday on 9.01.2018 she will have to have come to an agreement with the parliament on the topic of economic aspects of Brexit. There is also a very important question of ongoing collaboration between the EU and GB. The parlaying parties simply must do everything to, despite Britain’s leaving the EU, stay in tight economical relationship with each other.
The main difficulty for May will be the fact, that Brussel wants to sign the economical deal now, when Britain is still in the EU (the actual exit will happen in May 2019), but it is quite impossible to count through all the possibilities so far away from the actual date. There is no way to know what the relationship between the two sides of the deal will look like after it is concluded and signing the agreement right now is risky for May. Especially considering that the documents are adding up to more than several thousand pages. Of course, May will do everything in her power to have the deal be as detailed as possible.
In the meantime, the popularity of Britain’s PM is sinking catastrophically. It has sunk by a half in the last half a year and the level of anger has risen by the same percent. The study was conducted Adoreboard company and the material for it was provided by more than 70 000 tweets in a global social network, that were posted in the time frame June 23 – December 26.
