With the growth of Bitcoin which began last year a lot of people started selling their property to be able to afford the latest versions of video cards to be successful at mining.
And it only seems that the biggest video cards provider in the world would be happy with the risen demand, but reality appears to be different.
One of the biggest video cards producer Nvidia has recently reached out to the European retailers with an unusual for its nature request – not to sell more than 2 video cards for mining to one buyer. In this way Nvidia is planning to keep the demand on the level that will not overwhelm the production opportunities of the company.
Nvidia representative in Germany has made a statement saying that gamers were always a number-one-priority for the company and that they don’t want to cause any discomfort for them by giving all the supply to miners. That’s the reason for such a request.
The problem with the supply lies in the fact that Nvidia does not have their own productive facility and that it would be very problematic for them to increase the output on such a short notice.
It should be said that despite Nvidia’s request, it is up to the retailers to decide how many cards to sell to the single person. But some of the online shops have already restricted the amount of video cards to be sold to one buyer.
Even though the demand keeps climbing up the price for the video cards keeps climbing up.
