According to the CFO of the company, the project is only in the beginning of the development and not being looked at as the key feature of the Western Union system.

Statement also didn’t feature the clarification whether xCurrent or xRapid systems that use XRP crypto is going to be used by WU.

Worth mentioning that the statement was issued after the WU’s financial report that showed bigger annual losses of the company. In 2017 Western Union lost $557 million.
